Raised on the mean streets of San Angelo, Texas, he had to learn to fend for himself... eating nothing but fast food. He's had a huge impact in Texas working several radio stations over a 23 year career. He wasn't our first fit for this position but when we learned he was willing to work for free McD's coupons, we knew he was a great fit!
Jason lives his wife and toddler Jace! He enjoys great Texas country, cold Modelo and fast classic rides. While not annoying our listeners, Jason can be found reading, jogging (to McD's of course), fishing or casino gambling with his folks. Join Jason on the Midday Cruz weekdays 10-3 for lifestyle news, weather updates, celebrity gossip and the best music while you work!

I grew up in deep south Texas. The Rio Grande Valley is, and will always be ‘back home.’ I graduated from Harlingen HS South, and attended college at Southwest Texas State Univ. in San Marcos. My entire life, music was always a passion. It was only natural that I ended up on the radio. I began my radio career on 107.9 KVLY & Q94.5 The Rock in McAllen, Tx. From there, the business brought me to San Antonio, Tx where I hosted several different radio shows on 99.5 KISS & KCYY for a decade. It was my time with Y100 that my love for country grew to what it is today. After 20 years in, I can’t imagine doing anything else!
Now I proudly call The Texas Hill Country my home, and this is where I plan to be until I retire. I am the newest member of the Ranch Radio Group Family, and it has been a blast bringing today’s hottest country to the area. You can usually find me at a local farmer’s market, swap meet, live country concert or hometown rodeo, when I’m not live on the air. Catch me every weekday afternoon from 3 to 7. I’ll make sure you have the latest local news and the best chart-topping country hits to get you home. Use the Hill Country Fox App to send me a song request to play on your daily commute, or send me a ‘shout out’ to say hello.
